Abstract:
To provide a method for producing an aniline derivative useful as an intermediate of an amide derivative exhibiting outstanding effects on pest-controlling action.
The method for producing the aniline derivative (3) includes reacting an aniline derivative (1) with an iodide compound (2) in a reaction liquid containing an inert solvent or a mixed liquid of the inert solvent and water while keeping the pH of the reaction liquid within an acidic prescribed range. (In the formulas, R1 and R2 are each hydrogen or 1-4C alkyl; Y1 is 1-3C haloalkyl or the like; Y2 and Y4 are each hydrogen, halogen or 1-4C alkyl; Y3 is hydrogen; and R3 is 1-5C haloalkyl).
