Abstract:
To provide a composition for preventing or treating an antibody-mediated disorder in a patient.
The composition for preventing or treating an antibody-mediated disorder in a patient includes a monoclonal antibody which is bondable to a human CD40 antigen lying on the surface of human B cells and which has an effective amount for treating. The composition is used in a method including a process for administering the composition in a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient to a patient requiring such a treatment. The bonding of the antibody to the CD40 antigen prevents the growth or differentiation of the B cells.
