To provide a method for producing an aqueous dispersion of polyester resin particles at a low temperature, in a short time and with high thermal efficiency, and to provide a resin composition obtained by using the polyester resin particles, and an electrophotographic toner obtained by using the resin composition.
The method for producing the aqueous dispersion of polyester resin particles includes steps of: preparing an emulsified dispersion liquid in which at least an aliphatic diol and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid are emulsified and dispersed in an aqueous phase containing a surfactant type catalyst; and irradiating the emulsified dispersion liquid with a microwave to conduct a polycondensation reaction, whereby polyester resin particles are produced.
