Abstract:
To provide a method for producing an aromatic amine by directly aminating an aromatic compound at a normal temperature under normal pressure.
An aromatic compound and ammonia water are fed to a reaction vessel and irradiated with a light in an inert gas atmosphere in the presence of an activated catalyst obtained by adding at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Ni, Cu, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, Pt and Au to titanium oxide being a photocatalyst and an amino group is directly introduced into the aromatic compound to produce an aromatic amine.
