PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an article package which suppresses a lower side of a packaging material from being excessively contracted.SOLUTION: A method for producing an article package includes: a mounting step of mounting an article on a jig; a covering step of covering at least a part of a jig with a thermal shrinkable resin film; and a contraction step of contracting the resin film by heating, where the contraction step includes a suppression step of suppressing a lower side of the resin film from being contracted by a predetermined value or more by contraction suppression means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
