Abstract:
PURPOSE: To restore the milk filtering ability of a microfilter by flashing the dynamic microfilter with water when its filtering ability is deteriorated and chemically washing it when regeneration is impossible. CONSTITUTION: Unsterilized milk is homogenized and dynamically microfiltered within five minutes after the finish of homogenizing. When the filtering ability of a film with an average thin hole size which can reduce a bacteria content in milk is deteriorated to lower than a set value, the ability is regenerated by flashing with water. When the filtering ability of the film is not restored to be higher than an allowable standard, the filter is chemically washed to restore the filtering ability of the film.
