Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a bentonite molded body by which a spherical bentonite molded body with high density can easily be produced, and to provide a bentonite molded body.

The method for producing a bentonite molded body comprises: an extrusion granulation stage where water is added to powdery bentonite and they are mixed, and further, extrusion granulation is performed, so as to form a bentonite molded body in a wet state; a rolling granulation stage where the bentonite molded body formed by the extrusion granulation stage is molded into an almost spherical shape by rolling granulation; and a drying stage where the bentonite molded body molded by the rolling granulation stage is dried so as to increase its density by drying shrinkage.
