Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a monosilyl- or a disilyl-benzoic acid compound.
The method for producing the silyl-benzoic acid compound represented by formula (3) comprises reacting a benzoic acid compound represented by formula (1) with a di(lower alkyl)magnesium, then reacting the resultant compound with a (lower alkyl)lithium and further reacting the obtained compound with a silylating agent represented by formula (2).
