Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING BETA-PINENE POLYMER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010090273
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method which can advantageously produce a high-molecular-weight -pinene polymer under higher temperature conditions than in the past.

The method for producing the -pinene polymer includes subjecting -pinene or a monomer group consisting of -pinene and a cation-polymerizable monomer to cation polymerization or cation copolymerization in the presence of tris(pentafluorophenyl)borane and a compound represented by the formula (I): CH3CRARB-ORC (wherein RA is an aryl group which may have a substituent; RB is hydrogen, a 1-10C alkyl group or an aryl group which may have a substituent; and RC is hydrogen or a 1-10C alkyl group).
