Abstract:

To provide a method of producing a binary pore silica-alumina compound oxide which is high in catalytic activity in the case of using an aqueous alkali silicate solution as a raw material.

The method of producing the binary pore silica-alumina compound oxide comprises a step of gelling a sol liquid composed of the alkali silicate solution, a water-soluble polymer, and an acid in the transient state of phase separation, a step of contacting the wet silica gel with a solution of an aluminum salt, and a step of calcining the resultant gel.
