Abstract:
To improve carbon yield in the carbonization of waste containing a plastic component.SOLUTION: A method for producing a carbide includes producing a carbide with waste containing a plastic component. In the method, the waste is carbonized in the presence of a first catalyst composed of at least one of cellulose and a carbide and a second catalyst composed of at least one of phosphate and sulfate. In the method, the first and second catalysts are used in combination as the catalysts for carbonization, resulting in improved carbon yield in the waste containing a plastic component.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
