Abstract:
To provide a method for producing carbon dense fine particles by which carbon dense fine particles highly filled with carbon in fine pores of the fine particles can be obtained.SOLUTION: A method for producing carbon dense fine particles is provided which comprises a carbon densification step using fine particles having fine pores and an impregnated pitch having less than 1% quinoline insoluble content, 5% to 30% toluene insoluble content, and 40% or more fixed carbon and having a softening point of 60°C to 100°C. Preferable embodiments include an embodiment where the ratio of a density of the fine particles to a density of the impregnated pitch is greater than 1, and an embodiment where a pressure reduction step and an impregnated pitch melting step are included in this order before the carbon densification step.SELECTED DRAWING: None
