Abstract:
To provide an industrially advantageous method for producing carbon monoxide by developing a catalyst easy to handle and giving high purity carbon monoxide under mild conditions when carbon monoxide is produced by decomposing methyl formate.
Methyl formate is decomposed in the liquid phase in the presence of the cesium carbonate catalyst.
