Abstract:
To provide a method of producing carbon monoxide capable of obtaining a highly pure carbon monoxide.SOLUTION: A method of producing carbon monoxide includes: a condensation process of cooling a crude carbon monoxide to remove moisture in the crude carbon monoxide after decomposing formic acid using a solid acid catalyst to produce the crude carbon monoxide; an alkali washing process of washing the crude carbon monoxide with an alkali aqueous solution; a water washing process of washing the crude carbon monoxide with water; a drying process of drying the crude carbon monoxide using a desiccant; and an adsorption removal process of removing impurities in the crude carbon monoxide using an adsorbent.SELECTED DRAWING: None
