Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing carbonic acid ester, upon separation of carbonic acid ester, capable of suitably controlling the amount of acetone adopted as an entrainer.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing carbonic acid ester in which ketone and alcohol are brought into reaction 70 to obtain ketal, and thereafter, the ketal and carbon dioxide are reacted to produce 20 carbonic acid ester. Upon separation of the carbonic acid ester with the unreacted ketone in the ketal production reaction 70 as an entrainer, the composition of the raw material to be fed to a distillation column 50 is adjusted in such a manner that the ketone and alcohol compose an azeotropic temperature composition.
