Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a casting, which can suppress a crack of a core during casting and easily exhaust even a core in a complex and minute cavity part after the casting.SOLUTION: The method for producing a casting performs: a core molding step for molding a core in a shape of a cavity part of the casting by mixing sand, resin and solvent together; a solvent removing step for removing the solvent contained in the molded core to target content; a casting step for injecting molten metal into a cavity of a mold made by placing the core having the solvent removed therefrom within a mold frame; and a remaining core removing step for removing a core remaining in the cavity part of the produced casting. When the solvent is removed to the target content in the solvent removing step, intensity of the core at the time of starting the casting is increased to B and intensity of the core after the casting is decreased to C. This suppresses occurrence of a crack of the core during the casting and improves removing capacity for the core after the casting.
