Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a protein useful for improvement research of an enzyme, industrially practicable and having a chloroperoxidase activity.
A recombinant plasmid comprising a gene of the protein having a base sequence with a reduced GC (guanine-cytosine) content of a DNA region ranging from the 5'-terminus to at least 30 bases of a structural gene of the chloroperoxidase by substitution, deletion or insertion of the DNA region and the chloroperoxidase activity is prepared. A host microorganism is transformed with the recombinant plasmid to afford a transformed microorganism. The resultant transformed microorganism is cultured to thereby produce the protein having the chloroperoxidase activity.
