To provide new methods for producing cis-alkoxy substituted spirocyclic 1-H-pyrrolidine-2,4-dione derivatives and new intermediates or starting compounds that are used in the methods.SOLUTION: Such a one-pot process is used that a compound of a formula (II-1), for example, is used as a starting compound and is cyclized in the presence of a base and in the presence of a solvent and further reacted with ethyl chloroformate.SELECTED DRAWING: None
