Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clay film which has high tensile strength and is obtained by defoliating a mica particle layer efficiently while keeping a high aspect ratio, without breaking clay particles to divide finely, in dispersing clay in a solvent, a clay dispersion and a method of producing a clay dispersion.SOLUTION: A method of producing a clay dispersion comprises mixing clay with a solvent to obtain a clay mixed solution and dispersing the clay mixed solution by using a dispersion unit generating cavitation to obtain a clay dispersion. The solvent is preferably a mixed solvent comprising two or more solvents different in boiling point.
