Abstract:

To provide a method for efficiently producing coenzyme Q10 by a fungus by using a side-chain synthesized gene of coenzyme Q10 derived from a fungus belonging to the genus Aspergillus and the genus Leucosporidium.

This DNA has a specific DNA sequence or a DNA sequence in which one or a plurality of bases are deleted, added, inserted or substituted from/to/into/for the DNA sequence and encodes a protein having decaprenyl diphosphate synthase activity derived from Leucosporidium and Aspergillus.
