Abstract:
To provide a method for obtaining a complex comprising a metal oxide and a carboxylic acid derivative modifying a surface of the metal oxide in a short treatment time.SOLUTION: A method for producing a composite is a method for producing a composite material comprising at least one oxide of Hf and Zr and a carboxylic acid derivative modifying a surface of the oxide and having a primary particle diameter of 4 nm or less. The method comprises a step of treating an organometallic salt which is a precursor of an oxide, a carboxylic acid, and an alcohol under a temperature condition of 300°C or higher and below a critical temperature of the alcohol in a closed vessel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
