Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for preparing a composition for treating interstitial cystitis, overactive bladder, prostatitis, a lower urinary tract disease or state such as urethral syndrome in women.SOLUTION: A method for preparing a composition, which contains heparinoid, local anesthetic agent and buffer, for treating a lower urinary tract disease or state by injecting the composition into a bladder includes the steps of: (i) preparing heparinoid of a solid state or a liquid state; (ii) preparing a local anesthetic agent of a solid state or a liquid state; (iii) adding liquid buffer to the heparinoid of a solid state or a liquid state; (iv) adding the local anesthetic agent to the liquid buffer and a mixture of the heparinoid; and (v) adjusting pH of a mixture of the liquid buffer, the local anesthetic agent and the heparinoid if necessary to achieve pH of approximately 6.8 to approximately 8.3 without causing sedimentation of the local anesthetic agent.SELECTED DRAWING: None
