This method for producing the composition includes processes for: preparing a mixed solution containing bismuth acetate and 2-ethyl hexanoic acid; and heating the mixed solution up to a higher temperature than a boiling point of acetic acid to obtain a complex solution containing bismuth 2-ethylhexanoate, and thereby a composition for forming a ceramic film containing the complex solution can be obtained.
