Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a copolymerized polyester having excellent spinnability and high moisture-absorbing characteristics while maintaining excellent characteristics of polyester.SOLUTION: The method for producing a copolymerized polyester comprises subjecting an aromatic dicarboxylic acid or an ester-formable derivative thereof, a diol or an ester-formable derivative thereof, and polyethylene glycol to polycondensation reaction where the polyethylene glycol having a number average molecular weight of 6,000-20,000 is added by 10-45 wt% to the copolymerized polyester, and an alkali metal salt having a molecular weight of not greater than 200 is added by 0.001-0.050 wt% in terms of alkali metal element and a ratio (PEG/M) of a polyethylene glycol-added amount to a weight of the alkali metal element of 1,000-4,000 before polycondensation reaction.SELECTED DRAWING: None
