To provide an economical method for producing copper foil harmless for the environment.
Regarding the method for producing copper foil, particularly, using a net plate expander, impact pressure in a single direction is applied to a copper plate 1, in a state 2 where an incision is applied, but it does not reach cutting, the copper plate 1 is stretched to a direction vertical to the impact pressure and is expanded to obtain a copper-expanded net plate 3, thereafter, the copper-expanded net plate 3 is charged to a dissolution tank having an electrolytic solution, the copper-expanded net plate 3 is dissolved and oxidized to produce copper ions, and further, by electrochemical reaction, copper foil metal is produced. The production method is characterized in that, by expanding the copper plate 1 so as to be the copper-expanded net plate 3, the contact face between the copper and the electrolytic solution is increased, and the dissolution rate and productive efficiency are further increased.
