Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a crosslinked silicone rubber foam at a low cost capable of obtaining the silicone rubber foam with low apparent specific gravity and slight performance variation.
The method for producing a crosslinked silicone rubber foam comprises the following step: mixing 7 together a plurality of liquid silicone rubbers as feedstocks 8A, 8B of the crosslinked silicone rubber, followed by injecting a gas 4 into the thus mixed liquid silicone rubber, and agitating 7 the resultant liquid silicone rubber by vibration under pressure by the injected gas to effect microdispersion of bubbles in the liquid silicone rubber, followed by extruding 6 the resultant liquid silicone rubber and then thermosetting the extruded product.
