Abstract:
To provide a solvent used for cleavage of a sugar chain and crystallization for crystal analysis for clearing the structure of the fused protein of an IL-6 receptor and an IL-6 which is a single polypeptide obtained by the direct fusion of the IL-6 receptor and the IL-6 and known to strongly stimulate gp130.
The method for producing the crystal of the IL-6 receptor-IL-6 fused protein uses a fused protein of the IL-6 receptor and the IL-6, obtained by cleaving the sugar chain. Preferably, the method for producing the crystal uses a solution containing at least one of ammonium sulfate and a polyethylene glycol.
