Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a cyanoalkoxy compound having slight discoloration and insoluble matter in a high yield by controlling polymerization of an α,β-unsaturated nitrile in a reaction.
In the method for producing a cyanoalkoxy compound by reaction while continuously or intermittently adding an α,β-unsaturated nitrile to an alcohol, a temperature before, corresponding to the number of mols of the α,β-unsaturated nitrile added of ≥30% and ≤95% the number of mols of the whole hydroxy groups of the alcohol, is ≥40°C and ≤70°C and a temperature after that is ≥0°C and ≤40°C to carry out the reaction.
