Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a cyclic terpenoid derivative.
A chain terpenoid derivative represented by general formula (1) [wherein, A is a 6C alkyl group, a 6C alkenyl group or a 6C alkadienyl group, and the 6C alkyl group, the 6C alkenyl group or the 6C alkadienyl group may be substituted by a maximum of two arylsulfonyl groups, respectively; the wavy line represents either one of E/Z geometrical isomers or the mixture thereof] is subjected to cyclization in the presence of an acidic catalyst so as to produce the cyclic terpenoid derivative represented by general formula (2). [wherein, a dotted line indicates that one double bond exists at one among the three positions indicated therewith; and A represents a 6C alkyl group].
