Abstract:
To produce a cycloalkanol and/or a cycloalkanone in a good selectivity by oxidizing a cycloalkane in a good conversion rate.
This method for producing the cycloalkanol and/or the cycloalkanone is provided by oxidizing the cycloalkane with molecular state oxygen in the presence of a heteropoly acid compound having cobalt as its central element and containing cobalt also as its skeletal element. The number of cobalt contained as the skeletal element in the heteropoly acid is preferably 1-3, and other skeletal elements are preferably tungsten and molybdenum. Also, the heteropoly acid compound is preferably used by being loaded on a carrier.
