Abstract:
To produce a cycloalkanol and/or a cycloalkanone in good selectivity by oxidizing a cycloalkane with oxygen in good conversion.
The production method involves oxidizing the cycloalkane with the oxygen in the presence of a catalyst obtained by allowing a phyllosilicate to carry cobalt. The oxidation reaction is preferably carried out in the coexistence of a heteropolyacid compound, and the heteropolyacid compound having the cobalt as a center element and/or a skeleton element is preferably used as the heteropolyacid compound.
