To provide a method for producing a cycloalkene with which the reactional rate of a cycloalkadiene can be improved without lowering the selectivity of the cycloalkene such as cyclopentene and the cycloalkene can industrially advantageously be produced.

The method for producing the cycloalkene comprises a step of taking out a reactional liquid from the liquid-phase part of a reactional vessel, making the reactional liquid flow through a circulating pipe connected to the reactional vessel while suppressing the linear flow velocity and circulating the reactional liquid toward the reactional vessel and a step of blowing hydrogen into the liquid-phase part in the reactional system and bringing the reactional liquid flowing through the interior of the circulating pipe into contact with hydrogen.
