Abstract:

To provide a method for phosgenation of a (poly)amine, in which high yield and long life of a reactor are achieved.

This method for producing a diisocyanate of the formula (I) OCN-R-NCO comprises heating a corresponding vapor diamine of the formula (II) H2N-R'-NH2 or, if necessary, individually heating the vapor diamine and phosgene, each diluted with an inert gas or a vapor of an inert solvent, at 200-600°C and mixing and reacting the obtained product to perform phosgenation in a tubular reactor, wherein the tubular reactor has n≥2 nozzles parallelly arranged to the axis of the reactor, a diamine-containing flow is supplied into the tubular reactor through n×nozzles and a phosgene flow is supplied into the reactor through a remaining free space.
