To manufacture a cogged belt at a low cost with reducing an incidence of poor adhesion by preventing early breake at an abutting part of a cutting surface of a rubber sheet and by simplifying a sheet adhesion process at a mountain part of a cog.
A reinforcing cloth 7 is so profiled as to come to tight contact with the whole perimeter of a molding die 1 having ditches 5 and projects 4 alternately, a rubber sheet 10 wound on the molding die 1 is set forth in such a way that the abutting part 11 of the cutting surface 12 is positioned on a chopping board 15, and the abutting part 11 is heated under pressure on the chopping board 15 to make it endless. The chopping board 15 is removed and the rubber sheet 10 is heated under pressure from the outer peripheral direction so as to profile it into ditches 5 under pressure, and at least core wires 28 and extended rubber sheets 30 are wound in this order on the surface of a rubber layer 27 to form a belt-like molded article 33. The article is vulcanized and the obtained vulcanized sleeve is cut into a V-shaped form to give a driving belt.
