Abstract:

To provide an adhesive generating little volatile organic compounds and having excellent environmental suitability.

The method for producing the eco-friendly adhesive comprises the dissolution of at least a part of an acrylic monomer in an organic solvent containing ethyl acetate and the polymerization of the acrylic monomer in the presence of a polymerization initiator. Ethyl acetate having an aldehyde compound content of 10 ppm and an alcohol content of 100 ppm is used as the reaction solvent for the polymerization reaction. The polymerization initiator has a molecular weight of 200-250, a carbon number of the radical side chain of the initiator of 4-9 and a 10 hr half-life temperature of 45-55C.
