To provide a method for producing an electric blanket that is inexpensively dyed in color, has excellent touch and excellent mass-productiveness and to obtain an electric blanket produced by the method.

A synthetic fiber yarn is dyed with a dye and provided with bleaching resistance. A surface woven fabric and a back woven fabric are formed by using the dyed synthetic fiber yarn and a natural fiber yarn. The surface woven fabric and the back woven fabric are joined by a joining yarn and the surface woven fabric is connected to the back woven fabric to form a double woven fabric into the main body of an electric blanket. Then the part of the natural fiber yarn of the double woven fabric is bleached with a bleaching agent and the part of the bleached natural fiber yarn is dyed with a direct dye.
