To provide a method for producing an electroformed image such as a character with a pattern which can finely form an electroformed product in which cut patterns and various patterns are fitted to each surface of a characteristic, a symbol, a figure or the like without intruding unrequired notches, e.g., into the side faces of the electroformed product, further, is suitable for mass-production, and can repeatedly use an electroformed substrate base material.
In this production method, a photoresist 2 is cured on a stainless steel plate 1, and plating 4 is formed. The surface thereof is subjected to peeling treatment, so as to form a primary electroformed layer 6. Thereafter, the primary electroformed layer 6 is peeled, the back face thereof is subjected to peeling treatment 5, so as to form a secondary electroformed layer 8, and the one in which bright plating is applied to the secondary electroformed layer 8 is used as a substrate base material with a pattern. By using the substrate base material with a pattern, an electroformed product such as a character, a symbol, a figure or the like with a pattern can be finely formed, and also, an electroformed product with a pattern capable of mass production can be produced.
