Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a polyimid resin endless belt having uniform resistance in the entire belt by dispersing a resistance controlling agent uniformly in a base material.
SOLUTION: In a method for producing the polyimide endless belt with the use of a raw material solution in which the resistance controlling agent is dispersed in a polyamide acid-containing solvent solution which is a polyimide precursor solution, a solution in which a water content including absorbed water is lower than 10 wt.% of the solvent is used as the raw material solution. In an example, DMAC as a solvent, carbon black as the resistance controlling agent, and dispersion media are placed in a container, the container is closed, and the contents are mixed/agitated by a centrifugal agitator to obtain a carbon black dispersion. The dispersion and the polyimide precursor solution is injected into another container, the container is closed, and the contents are dispersed/ defoamed by a centrifugal agitation method to prepare the raw material solution. With the use of the raw material solution, a polyimide endless film is obtained by a centrifugal molding method.
