Abstract:
To provide a method for producing epalrestat crystal, by which the epalrestat type B crystal comprising a single crystal form having a high solubility can simply and efficiently be produced, and to provide a medicinal composition containing the single crystal form epalrestat crystal obtained by the production method of the present invention.
This method for producing the epalrestat crystal is characterized by dissolving epalrestat in methanol and then cooling the obtained solution to crystallize the epalrestat, and the medicinal composition containing the epalrestat crystal obtained by the production method.
