Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an ester compound capable of easily esterifying an alcoholic hydroxyl group of a compound having an alcoholic hydroxyl group and an ester structure in the molecule.SOLUTION: (1) There is provided a method for producing an ester compound by reacting a compound (compound A) having an alcoholic hydroxyl group and an ester structure in the molecule with a compound capable of pulling out a proton from the hydroxyl group in a nonpolar solvent. (2) There is provided the method for producing an ester compound according to (1), where the alcoholic hydroxyl group is a secondary alcohol and the ester structure is an acrylic acid ester or a (meth)acrylic acid ester.SELECTED DRAWING: None
