To provide a method for efficiently synthesizing and purifying esters of carbamic acid having an isopropenyl group or a vinyl group and being a useful compound as a raw material for a polymer in a wide range such as an urethane modifier and a raw material for a plastic resin.
This method for producing the ester derivative of the carbamic acid represented by formula (III) (wherein, R1 is a phenylene group, a biphenylene group or a naphthylene group; R2 is the same or different, and hydrogen or an alkyl group; and R3 is an alkyl group) involves reacting a carbamic acid ester of the formula (II): NH2CO2R3 (wherein, R3 has the same meaning as the above) with divinyl compounds of formula (I) (wherein, R1 and R2 have the same meanings as the above) in the presence of an acid catalyst in a polar solvent.
