Abstract:

To provide a method for producing ethanol which can efficiently produce the ethanol with a high concentration from a cellulose-containing raw material.

The method for producing the ethanol to produce the ethanol from the cellulose-containing raw material includes a saccharification process for saccharifying the cellulose-containing raw material; and a fermentation process of fermenting the ethanol using a sugar solution obtained in the saccharification process. A sugar containing solution is added before starting the saccharification process and the sugar containing solution is pressed juice of an agricultural product containing a water-soluble saccharides, molasses, or an enzyme treated product of cereals.
