PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low surface energy fiber having a long-term liquid repellency and anti-stain effect and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A low surface energy additive of 0.1-30 wt% is added to a thermoplastic polymer used as a spinning raw material, which is subjected to a spinning processing procedure such as melting spinning, to produce a fiber with a surface tension of between 25-72 dyne/cm.
