To provide a method for effectively producing fine particles of a resin, especially a resin containing a copolymerized aromatic compound, without inducing aggregation, by effectively producing in a polymerization vessel provided with a stirring blade.
The invention relates to a method for producing fine particles of a resin by stirring a monomer mixture with an aqueous medium to suspend the monomer mixture in the aqueous medium and initiating the polymerization by a polymerization initiator. The monomer mixture includes at least 1 pt.mass of a polyfunctional monomer relative to the 100 pts.mass of a monofunctional monomer, and the stirring power (P) during polymerization is set within the range of not more than 1/2 of the initial stirring power (P0).
