Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a polyester polymer that has permanent flame retardancy, particularly excellent stability against UV (ultraviolet rays), a polymer produced therefrom and fiber produced by using the same.

In the method for producing a flame-retardant polyester polymer, a phosphorus flame-retardant, namely a propionic acid substituted with phosphorus-including group on the -position is cast in so that the amount may become 500 to 50,000 ppm to the polyester polymer calculated as phosphorus atom at the secondary esterification reaction step, and a manganese salt and a phosphorus compound as UV stabilizers are cast individually in an amount of 0.1 to 500 ppm in terms of manganese atom and phosphorus atom.
