Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a -fluoromethylcarbonyl derivative and its optically active compound which is an important synthetic intermediate in pharmaceutical and agrochemical industries on a commercial scale in high efficiency.
An optically active compound exemplified by formula 3d can be produced by the conjugated addition reaction of e.g. crotonaldehyde and fluorobissulfonylmethanes in the presence of an optically active phase-transfer catalyst. An optically active -fluoromethylcarbonyl compound can be produced by desulfonylating the optically active compound in the presence of a reducing agent.
