To provide a method for producing foamed wallpaper having excellent surface strength and high design expression formed by embossing and expanded wallpaper having no influence on curling.

The method for producing expanded wallpaper includes a step (1) for forming a blowing agent-containing resin layer on a paper substrate, a step (2) for foaming the blowing agent-containing resin layer to form a foamed resin layer, a step (3) for performing emboss processing from the foamed resin layer side, a step (4) for forming an ionizing radiation curing type resin layer along an uneven shape formed on the expanded resin layer by the emboss processing and a step (5) for curing the ionizing radiation curing type resin layer to form a surface-protecting layer in this order.
