To provide a method for producing a formed sheet material by which the formed sheet material comprising uniformly compounded solid components can suitably be produced.

The method is to feed a raw material slurry comprising the solid components to a sheet-forming step with a transfer means and produce the formed sheet material in the sheet-forming step. The raw material slurry comprises a fibrous material and a granule having 1.5-9.0 g/cm3 specific gravity in (50/50) to (8/92) ratio of the fibrous material/the granule expressed in terms of mass ratio in the solid components. The mass flow rate and density of the raw material slurry transferred with the transfer means are successively measured with a Coriolis type mass flowmeter. The amount transferred of the raw material composition with the transfer means is successively controlled on the basis of the measured mass flow rate and density. The concentration of the solid components in the raw material composition fed to the sheet-forming step is regulated nearly constant.
