To obtain an intestinal microorganism capable of decomposing hormone disruptive substance or carcinogenic substance such as bisphenol A, dioxins, and the utilization of the same strain as a probiotics food product or an environmental restoring agent.
The method for obtaining the intestinal microorganism comprises adding an intestinal specimen of a healthy human being such as feces (or a lactobacillus strain bank) to an inorganic nutrition medium by using the above undesirable compound or its structural analog as a sole carbon source, isolating a bacterial strain by accumulative culturing to obtain a new strain belonging to the genus Achromobacter (Achromobacter sp. Shibata-9 strain: FERM P-18873) capable of decomposing bisphenol A. The strain obtained by the accumulative culturing is used as the probiotics food product by adding it into a yogurt, or the like, or as an oral agent by using an enteric capsule, or the like, or a suppository for trying to reduce the hormone disruptive substance or carcinogenic substance in the living body after the recognition of its safety, or as the environmental restoring agent (in sewage treatment, or the like). The intestinal bacterial strain can be utilized for both of the probiotics and environmental cleaning.
