Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a linear getter capable of encapsulation in the space of a closed instrument having an every shape.
In this method for producing the gas absorption getter, gas- absorbing alloy grains are carried in the periphery of a metal wire whose cross- sectional shape is a circle. The gas-absorbing alloy grains having ≥400 Vickers hardness are used and the metal wire satisfying the relation of the formula (1) is used. A load is applied to the gas-absorbing alloy grains sandwiched between a tool and the metal wire. 100≤Hv≤205-150×D...(1). Wherein, Hv represents Vickers hardness of the metal wire and D represents diameter (mm) of the metal wire.
